Meditations
The following descriptions are meditations that can be practiced alone or with other people.  The CDs for each meditation can be purchased through our friend's site: World of Meditation

Chakra Breathing

This meditation is active and uses deep rapid breathing and body movements, accompanied by musical sounds to open and bring awareness and vitality to the chakras.

Chakra Sounds

This meditation uses vocal sounds made by the meditator along with music to open and harmonize the chakras while bringing awareness to them. The meditation can bring you into deep, peaceful, inner silence either through making your own vocal sounds or by just listening to and feeling the sounds within you.

Darkness

In this meditation we use the absolute darkness of a lightproof room. The absence of light can be a primal source of relaxation and inner nourishment.

Dynamic

This is an energizing meditation that opens breathing, body, and inner energies, followed by witnessing and dancing. It lasts for one hour and has five stages.

It can be done alone, but it is also a very powerful and helpful experience to do it as a group. When doing this meditation in a group, the meditation remains an individual experience. Keeping the eyes closed, one remains oblivious of other participants around. Using a blindfold can be helpful to keep your attention focused inward. It is best to have an empty stomach and wear loose comfortable clothing.

Gourishankar

This meditation consists of four stages of fifteen minutes each. The first two stages are preparation for the spontaneous Latihan (allowing the gentle energies surrounding you to move through you) of the third stage. If the breathing is done correctly in the first stage, the carbon dioxide formed in the bloodstream will make you feel as high as Gourishankar (Mt. Everest).

Kundalini

This meditation consists of four stages of 15 minutes each and includes loosening the body, dancing, witnessing and resting stages. It is good for releasing stress and helping your energy to open and flow.

Nadabrahma

This meditation uses vocal sounds made by the meditator along with music to open and harmonize the chakras while bringing awareness to them. The meditation can bring you into deep, peaceful, inner silence either through making your own vocal sounds or by just listening to and feeling the sounds within you.

Nataraj

Nataraj is a dancing meditation. There are three stages, lasting a total of 65 minutes. There is a music CD, that was especially created to accompany this meditation technique.

No Dimensions

This meditation, which originated from Gurdjieffian movements, is a centering dance as well as a good preparation for whirling. It lasts one hour and is in three stages. The first is a set of movements coordinated with breathing. The second is whirling, and the third is lying down with closed eyes to integrate the practice.

Locations of the Chakras
The first chakra is located in the pelvic area, it is called the root chakra. The second chakra is located two inches below the belly button, it is called the hara. The third chakra is located in the solar plexus area – between the belly button and the bottom of the rib cage. The fourth chakra is located in the heart area. The fifth chakra is located in the throat area. The sixth chakra is located between the eyebrows, it is called the third eye. The seventh chakra is located at the top of the head, it is called the crown chakra.
